The transition from pony to horse with Alexander and Andreas Helgstrand
It can be very overwhelming to change from a pony to a big horse. Suddenly there is a lot more horse to keep together, and that requires control of the body and a strong physique. In addition, there are suddenly two reins to keep track of when riding with double bridle, and finally the exercises become much more difficult on the big horses - not least the infamous flying changes.
In this series, we tackle the challenges with some of the World's best riders, namely Andreas Helgstrand, who sells some of the World's most expensive horses through Helgstrand Dressage, and he has also won both Olympic bronze and World Championship silver.
With his son Alexander Helgstrand in the saddle, they show what and how to practice the various things as a horse rider.
