Riding isn’t only a question of training the horse and teaching it how to control its body. The rider is crucial for how good the horse can get. And in order to be able to provide the horse with the best possible aids, the rider must have good balance, strength, and mobility in his/her entire body, especially in regards to his/her seat. Because once our seat is strong, we’ve already come a long way in our riding.
Lene Theill trains many of the Danish top riders, including Selina Solberg from the stud farm Atterupgaard, from where three horses competed in the last Olympic games. In this series, Lene and Selina show us a series of training exercises, all of which are especially useful for riders, and no matter what level you ride at, everyone can join in.
